The Indian mobile operator Airtel has finally got control over the airtel.com domain name. Earlier the domain name was owned by Vodafone, and then it was put on the open auction. Someone purchased it through that auction, but now Airtel has got the ownership of this domain name with the help of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

Indian Police can now track your E-mails

The police can now read your e-mails without prior permission from the home department.
The Parliament recently cleared an amendment to the Information Technology (IT) Act, allowing the police to intercept or decrypt online information without seeking the home department’s nod.

Rising instances of cyber crime have prompted the move aimed at cutting red tape.

The amendment empowers the inspector general of police to permit interception or decoding information in cyber space in an emergency.

Termination of Hero and Honda Joint Venture-Hero Honda brand name will no longer exist.

In December 2010, the Board of Directors of the Hero Honda Group have decided to terminate the joint venture between Hero Group of India and Honda of Japan in a phased manner. The Hero Group of India would buy out the 26% stake of the Honda in JV Hero Honda. Under the joint venture Hero Group could not sell into international markets and the termination would mean that Hero Group can exploit global opportunities now. Since last 25 years the Hero Group relied on their Japanese partner Honda for R & D for new bike models. So there are concerns that the Hero Group might not be able to sustain the performance of the Joint Venture alone. Hero Group can use Hero Honda brand name only upto 2014.
